As a part of the new specialty "Industrial Engineering" at the Department of Engineering and Design in Mechanical Engineering of the National Technical University "Dnipro Polytechnic" is developed a unique integrated curriculum for teaching engineering to create technical engineering facilities, based on the international innovation standard CDIO (http://www.cdio.org).
This educational technology involves the study of all stages of the life cycle of technical objects. Particular attention is paid to the formation of students' competencies in the design of machines, in the field of project management and business practice. Future specialists not only acquire physics and mathematics, general engineering, and special training. They also successfully master the methods of computer engineering and set of special programs created by one of the world leaders in 3D design - Dassault Systèmes. With 3DExperience technologies, our students master the skills of digital 3D modeling of products throughout their life cycle.
Acquired qualifications in the field of computer technology are confirmed by the prestigious international certificates of SolidWorks Specialist, Certified SolidWorks Associate, which students will be able to obtain in the training centers established at the department. All this significantly increases the competitiveness of graduates in the labor market.
Senior students perform real design works on the basis of the complex "Mechanical Engineering" created at the university. It includes the research and production group "Dniprotechservice", Dnipropetrovsk Aggregate Plant, VO "Southern Machine-Building Plant".
